University Hosts Tomato Production Course

If you’re growing tomatoes hydroponically in a greenhouse environment and want to use the latest research and advice to help maximize your investment, be sure to reserve time next January for a course taking place at the University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center in Tucson, Arizona. The Hydroponic Greenhouse Tomato Intensive takes place January 4-9 at the CEAC. Instructed by Dr. Patricia Rorabaugh, the center’s hydroponic tomato expert, the course features hands-on training in hydroponic crop production, focusing on tomatoes in the greenhouse, and is balanced with classroom time to help instill the teachings of the course. Topics include greenhouse basics, hydroponics, crop layout, pollination, pruning, food safety, crop maintenance, harvesting, plant nutrition and integrated pest management.
