Do you or your staff want to brush up on your hydroponic growing knowledge? The University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center is hosting several public hydroponic crop production short courses next year. In January, the center offers two short courses on the hydroponic production of tomatoes (January 3-8) and lettuce (January 8-10). These courses, which can be taken separately or combined, feature a combination of classroom time and hands-on training in the greenhouse. Then in March, the center hosts its 15th annual Greenhouse Crop Production and Engineering Design short course. From March 20-25, the greenhouse short course features lectures from more than a dozen prominent hydroponic and engineering experts, individualized sessions on indoor growing and lighting, and a choice of eight different hands-on workshops. Can’t make it to Tucson? Watch the lectures from home with the webcast option or request a DVD.
